![]() As my sister doesn't play WoW, it wasn't a total loss on the other account but I was a bit disappointed they would not do the transfer just based on email ownership. The only way they would change the ownership of my second (sisters name) account was if she sent in a copy of her ID and stated in the email that it was to be transferred over to me. It would not allow it as it said it was already in use by another user. ![]() I tried to update the email address on my secondary (sisters name) account to match my primary account. Later I found out you could have multiple accounts under the same name/email and they would all share the titles, mounts, etc sometime around late WoD and when BNet Launcher was in Beta. I had created a Battlenet account under my sister's name so I could do RaF shortly into MoP. I know my password, my email, everything that I have bought from the store, everything I have received as gifts from the store and all my characters names, races, classes, locations etc. ![]() I double checked to see what the security question was and I definitely know it. I never delete emails so I might have one from when I bought Overwatch. I feel like I did get Legion as a gift or something though, I can't remember. I bought the battlechest all those years ago and just wait until I get grandfathered in to get the expansions. With WoW I don't believe I have ever bought an expansion pack. I don't have physical copies of them as I had bought them digitally. The only games registered to my account are WoW and Overwatch. I don't reddit often (I just signed up for the gift exchanges) so I'm not sure how to post those pictures to you. I have screenshots of my most recent one, with the names blocked out. I have made a ticket with blizzard twice over this. But also, I made it many moons ago and struggle with memory loss, so who knows. I don't remember ever being told I needed to use my real name for the Battlenet account, and neither does my partner in crime (who I play WoW with). I don't think I'll be putting any more money into Blizzard after this. You spend so much of your life really enjoying the things that a company puts out and supporting them only to be mistreated when you ask for something in return. I'm not sure why this has been so difficult for me. I'm beyond furious, why would they ask for the CD key if they weren't even going to use it? It's disparaging to hear about other people changing their names with no real problems. They just told me they can't change my name on my account. Update 2: I found the CD key they asked for, but when I said I had it they didn't even ask for it. I feel so betrayed, I love Blizzard so much and they won't even help me. They aren't even trying to verify my account. I was even considering buying one of the new mounts in the shop but after this I dont feel safe putting any more money into my account, lest it just be locked with no way of getting it back. I used to really love Blizz but lately thats wavering. Is there anything I can do to get them to change my name? If not what are some ways I can protect my account from being locked, or get it back if it DOES get locked without showing my ID? Their solution to this? "Make a fresh account using your actual name." Can you believe that? Their solution to my name being wrong on my battlenet account was to just say fuck it to all my years of playing WoW and start over. If I get locked out of my account then I'm royally fucked because they never specified it needed to be my real name. Blizzard refuses to change my name on my account to my real one. Since then I have spent YEARS playing WoW and even put some real money in the game. I was a dumb kid when I made my battlenet account and I put in a fake name when I made it.
